MASTERCLASS AVEC OLIVIER PENIN
Comme chaque année pendant la période estivale, Olivier Penin donnera à nouveau une
masterclass autour des compositeurs de la tradition de Sainte Clotilde (Franck, Tournemire, Bonnal,
Duruflé, Langlais) et leurs prédécesseurs (Bach, Buxtehude, Couperin, etc.). Les participants sont
invités à présenter des œuvres de leur choix. Dates : 9-10-11 juillet 2024 en la Basilique Sainte-
Clotilde de Paris. Les cours ont lieu sur le grand orgue de la Basilique Sainte Clotilde.

The course will be given by Olivier Penin, appointed organist of the Cavaillé-Coll organ at the
Basilica Sainte Clotilde.
Programme
Participants are invited to play a work of their own choice:
composers of the Sainte Clotilde tradition : Franck, Tournemire, Bonnal, Duruflé, Langlais,
but also their sources : Bach, Buxtehude, Couperin, etc
Olivier Penin will adress issues like interpretation, techniques, registration, but also general topics
like mental preparation of concerts and organisation of work.
The course includes group lessons in the morning starting at 9:30 AM and in the afternoon starting
at 1:00 PM.
Participants
This masterclass is open to professional organists, advanced organ students and advanced
amateur organists. The number of participants is limited to 12 to ensure quality and personal
teaching.
